Dr. Daniel G. Miller

Dr. Daniel G. Miller is originally from Manassas, Virginia, he graduated with honors from West Virginia University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology. After college, he spent a few years working as a dental assistant prior to continuing his education at The State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. After earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, he elected to continue his education by completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at SUNY Buffalo as well.
During residency, Dr. Daniel G. Miller received advanced training in restorative dentistry, full mouth reconstruction, esthetic and cosmetic dentistry, root canal therapies, extractions and wisdom teeth removal, bone and tissue grafting, as well as the placement and restoration of dental implants. Dr. Daniel G. Miller left holding the program record for dental implants placed and surgeries performed by a resident. Dr. Miller completed the prestigious Kois Center post-graduate education program, being the first dentist in Charlotte to complete this rigorous program focused on delivering patients the most advanced treatment options, from fillings to full mouth cosmetic reconstruction. He practices comprehensive, conservative dentistry for all members of your family. He likes to set patients at ease by thoroughly explaining treatment options for patients, ensuring that they are making the best choices for their dental health.

Dr. Daniel G. Miller is also highly trained in sedation dentistry, so that he can deliver treatment in the most comfortable manner for even the most anxious and fearful dental patients. He is certified to provide options from nitrous (laughing gas), oral sedation, up to moderate Conscious IV Sedation. If you have a fear of the dentist be sure to ask him about options to make your experience as comfortable as possible. You might not even remember having the treatment done!
Dr. Daniel G. Miller is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), North Carolina Dental Society (NCDS), Charlotte Dental Society, American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), American Dental Society of Anesthesiology (ADSA), as well as the Greater Charlotte Spear Study Club. Dr. Daniel G. Miller takes over 100 hours of continuing education per year in order to provide his patients with the best treatment possible with state-of-the-art technology, materials and techniques. Dr. Daniel G. Miller has been awarded a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry due to his efforts in continuing education and clinical training, an award less than 6% of the Dentists in the country ever achieve. Dr. Miller spent 3 years taking courses with Dr John Kois at the Kois Center in Seattle, Washington to complete a post graduate education program for comprehensive full mouth rehabilitation, treating TMJ Disorders and Cosmetic Dentistry. This training allows dentists to provide their patients with the most up to date, and most researched treatment methods and materials for the best possible results for their patients. Dr. Miller is the only Dentist in Charlotte to have completed this program, and one of less than 25 in all of North and South Carolina to have done so.

More About Daniel G. Miller, DDS, FAGD

Dr. Daniel G. Miller also takes the time to give back to those less fortunate and unable to afford dental care. He participates in the NC Medical Mission of Mercy outreaches, as well as providing free dental care for the ADA Jenkins Dental bus multiple times a month to help the local community. He volunteers at Veterans events serving those who have served our country, as well as traveled around the United States with Remote Area Medical trips to various areas to help those in need. Internationally, Dr. Daniel G. Miller has been to the Dominican Republic and the Philippines on Medical Mission trips to provide care for those around the world who don’t have access to dental care.
As all of his siblings live in the Charlotte area, Dr. Daniel G. Miller moved to North Carolina to be closer to family. He enjoys backpacking through National Parks, photography, hiking, traveling, and spending hot Carolina summers on the local lakes wake surfing.

FAGD stands for Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. Earning Fellowship takes dedication to dental continuing education (CE) beyond graduation. Only about 6 percent of general dentists in the U.S. and Canada are AGD Fellows. When you see a dentist with FAGD after their name, you can rest assured that they care about knowing the latest techniques and best practices in dentistry. AGD Fellows practice these techniques in a classroom setting multiple times a year — not every dentist does this.
